Legal
The short version of the long version.
Plain terms for using Olivasal: what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and who owns what.
Last updated 2 September 2026
The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Megam Technologies, India, the company that operates Olivasal. They apply when you use the Olivasal website, the web application, or the API.
By creating an account or joining a meeting, you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that company.
If you do not agree, do not use Olivasal.
Accounts
You need an account to host meetings. Guests can join a meeting without one.
- Give accurate details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, and for keeping your password safe.
- Tell us at support@megamtech.com as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must be 16 or older, and legally able to enter a contract.
Company workspaces have administrators. If you join one, your administrator can manage your access, see your meeting metadata, and remove your account.
Plans and billing
Olivasal has a free plan and paid plans. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page and form part of these terms.
- Paid plans are billed per seat, in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any tax that applies to you.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card details.
If payment fails, we may downgrade or suspend the account after giving you notice and a chance to fix it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Olivasal to:
- Break the law, or help someone else break it
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate anyone
- Distribute malware, or attempt to breach, overload, or probe our systems without written permission
- Record or transcribe people where you lack the consent your jurisdiction requires
- Share content you have no right to share
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the managed service without an agreement that allows it
- Circumvent seat limits, usage limits, or licence checks
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. For serious cases — ongoing harm, or a legal obligation — we may act without prior notice.
Your content
Meetings, recordings, transcripts, chat, files, and everything else you put into Olivasal remain yours. We claim no ownership.
You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and process that content solely to provide the service — for example, encoding a recording or generating an AI summary you asked for. The licence ends when you delete the content.
We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for the content you and your participants create, and for having the rights and consents needed to record and store it.
Recording and consent
Olivasal shows a visible indicator to every participant while a recording is running, and announces it when a recording starts.
Recording and wiretap laws differ widely. Some jurisdictions require every participant to consent; others require only one. Obtaining the consent your jurisdiction requires is your responsibility, not ours.
The same applies to AI transcripts and summaries generated from a recording.
Our intellectual property
Olivasal — the software, the interface, the documentation, the name, and the marks — belongs to Megam Technologies and its licensors. These terms grant you a right to use the service, not to own any part of it.
Self-hosted deployments are governed by the licence agreement that accompanies the distribution. Where that licence and these terms conflict, the licence wins for the self-hosted software.
Olivasal includes third-party open-source components under their own licences. Nothing here limits your rights under those licences.
Third-party integrations
Connecting Google, Microsoft, Zoho, or another provider is optional. When you do, you also agree to that provider's terms, and their handling of your data is governed by their policies, not ours.
We are not responsible for a third-party service going down, changing its API, or revoking your access. You can disconnect any integration at any time in Settings → Integrations.
Availability and support
We work to keep the managed service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability on the free plan. Maintenance, upgrades, and incidents happen.
Paid plans get priority support. Enterprise agreements may include a written service-level commitment; where one exists, it takes precedence over this section.
We may change or discontinue features. For changes that materially reduce a paid plan's functionality, we will give you notice.
Disclaimer
Except where a written agreement says otherwise, Olivasal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that AI-generated summaries and transcripts will be accurate, or that defects will be corrected. Do not rely on an AI recap as an authoritative record of what was said.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Megam Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, however caused.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Olivasal is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including fraud, and death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Megam Technologies against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of Olivasal, your breach of these terms, or your failure to obtain a consent that recording law required.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing support@megamtech.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your payment fails and stays unresolved, or if we are legally required to.
After termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy. Export anything you want to keep before you close the account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the product and the law change. The date at the top reflects the current version.
For material changes we will notify account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Olivasal after that date means you accept the new terms.
